Muscat – Oman made an impression at the Gulf Smart Investor Award 2025, clinching five awards across several creative categories during a ceremony held in Riyadh on Thursday.

Organised by Gulf securities market regulators under the umbrella of the GCC Secretariat General, the third edition of the awards recognised 44 winners from across the region.

The event was held under the patronage of Jassim bin Mohammed al Budaiwi, GCC Secretary-General.

The award celebrates creativity and innovation in four artistic fields – video production, drawing, photography, and writing – across three participant groups: individuals, university students, and school students.

Oman’s strong showing included a first-place finish in the individual writing category, awarded to Marwa Farouk Mohammed Radwan, underscoring the nation’s literary talent on a regional stage.

In the university category, Sarah bint Hamad al Maamari secured third place in photography, while Al Mohannad bin Mohammed al Riyami also got the same place in video production.

Young talents from Oman also impressed in the school-level categories. Juhaina bint Sulaiman al Rashidi was second in drawing, while Saleh bin Khalid al Qatiti occupied the same place in the video category.

The awards aim to foster financial literacy and creative expressions among youth and individuals in the Gulf region, while spotlighting excellence in content that reflects smart investment principles and awareness.
