Oman Air increases flights for Khareef Season with 70,000 extra seats

Flat fare of OR54 for Omani citizens to encourage domestic tourism

Muscat – Oman Air has announced a significant increase in its operational capacity for the upcoming Khareef season, with plans to operate 12 daily flights between Muscat and Salalah starting July 1, 2025.

The airline revealed that it will be adding 70,000 additional seats to the Muscat–Salalah route by the end of the year — a 16 percent rise compared to the same period in 2024 — in response to heightened demand during the popular monsoon season in Dhofar.

To support local travel, Oman Air has reaffirmed its commitment to offering fixed national fares, allowing Omani citizens to purchase return tickets for RO54 between July 1 and September 5, 2025.

Importantly, there is no cap on the number of tickets available at the national fare, as long as passengers book from within Oman and select the ‘Omani Citizen’ option on the airline’s official website.

This move underscores Oman Air’s dedication to promoting domestic tourism and providing affordable travel options during one of the Sultanate’s most anticipated tourism periods.
