Foreign Minister holds discussions to deepen bilateral ties and promote regional stability

Muscat –  H E Sayyid Badr al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, today held separate diplomatic engagements with representatives of the State of Kuwait and the Republic of Türkiye, affirming Oman’s commitment to advancing bilateral relations and supporting regional dialogue.

In a meeting at the Foreign Ministry, Sayyid Badr received H E Mohammed Nasser Madhi al Hajri, Ambassador of Kuwait to Oman. The discussions highlighted the longstanding fraternal relations between the two nations and mutual keenness to expand cooperation across various domains, in line with the directives of their wise leadership.

Separately, Sayyid Badr engaged in a telephone conversation with H E Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkiye. The two ministers reviewed avenues for enhancing cooperation and exchanged views on key regional and international developments. Both underscored the importance of diplomacy in addressing shared challenges and fostering peace and security.

Sayyid Badr extended condolences and solidarity to Türkiye following the earthquake that struck Istanbul earlier in the day. Minister Fidan, in turn, expressed appreciation for Oman’s constructive role in facilitating dialogue between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States, aimed at achieving a sustainable agreement that supports regional stability.
