Amsterdam, Netherlands – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik met chairmen and businessmen of leading Dutch companies in the presence of King Willem-Alexander on Tuesday.

The meeting discussed ways of promoting economic and industrial partnerships in sectors such as ports, logistics services, maritime trade, chemical industries, renewable energy, agriculture and food, in addition to cooperation in cultural and academic fields.

Three agreements

Oman and the Netherlands also signed three agreements – in the field of liquefied hydrogen, a study on development of infrastructure for transporting hydrogen and carbon dioxide, and a partnership with Royal Vopak, a leading independent tank storage company that stores and handles products ranging from chemicals, oil, gases and LNG to biofuels and vegetable oils.

State banquet

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima hosted a state banquet at the Royal Palace in Amsterdam in honour of H M Sultan Haitham on Tuesday evening.
