Muscat – The Omani Ministry of Social Development (MoSD) has announced the establishment of the Bait Al Hassan Charitable Foundation to enhance charitable efforts and support sustainable development initiatives across the sultanate.

The foundation was created under a Ministerial Resolution (No 110/2025) issued by H E Dr Laila bint Ahmed al Najjar, Minister of Social Development.

Bait Al Hassan will focus on a broad range of community-oriented activities, including education, youth empowerment, and social innovation. In the education sector, the foundation will support the construction and upkeep of schools, development of learning materials, and provide financial aid for tuition fees, targeting underserved communities.

The foundation will also invest in youth development through projects that encourage entrepreneurship and social innovation. It aims to support solutions to social challenges and contribute to improving quality of life across different regions.

According to the ministry, Bait Al Hassan will work to promote volunteerism by forging partnerships with government entities, private sector institutions, and civil society organisations.

The ministry stated that the foundation will contribute to Oman’s wider objectives for inclusive and community-led development.
