Muscat – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik will set off on a state visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands on Monday.

A statement was issued by Diwan of Royal Court to this effect reading as follows:

‘Within the context of the advanced relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik will go on a state visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands from April 14 to 16.

‘The visit aims at boosting areas of cooperation on matters of  mutual interest in a manner that meets aspirations of the two countries. The visit will address a set of regional and international topics of common concern.’

His Majesty the Sultan will be accompanied by a high-ranking official delegation comprising H H Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal al Busaidi, Minister of Diwan of Royal Court, Gen Sultan bin Mohammed al Nu’amani, Minister of Royal Office, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Dr Hamad bin Said al Aufi, Head of Private Office, Dr Madiha bint Ahmed al Shaibani, Minister of Education, Abdussalam bin Mohammed al Murshidi, President of Oman Investment Authority, Salim bin Nassir al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals, and Dr Abdullah bin Salim al Harthy, Ambassador of Oman to the Netherlands.
