Muscat – Muscat Municipality has launched a campaign titled ‘The Address is Known’ to encourage residents and businesses in the governorate to update their address details.

The initiative aims to enhance the accuracy of address data and integrate it with the Oman Business Platform, improving service delivery and coordination between government entities. The move is part of broader efforts to digitise government services and streamline interactions with authorities.

Updating address details will also optimise logistics services, including parcel delivery and e-commerce, while supporting government functions such as emergency response, urban planning, health surveys, and statistical data collection.

Residents and businesses can update their information through Muscat Municipality’s online portal (www.mm.gov.om). The service allows modifications to building data, electricity and water account numbers, and property ownership details. Required documents include proof of ownership, identity cards, utility metre details, and commercial registration for companies.

The update service is available to new property owners, businesses requiring data modifications, and individuals seeking to amend utility account details. Requests can be submitted online, through Muscat Municipality’s customer service departments, or at Sanad offices.
