Muscat – Oman has condemned Israel’s military actions in Syria, urging the international community to take swift and decisive measures to prevent further escalation in the region.

In a statement, the Foreign Ministry expressed strong disapproval of Israel’s airstrikes on Daraa, which it described as another violation of Syrian territorial sovereignty. The ministry called on global powers to act immediately to deter Israel and halt its continued breaches of international law, which contribute to growing regional tensions and instability.

Oman also condemned Israel’s deadly airstrikes on Gaza, which killed more than 400 Palestinians on Tuesday. The attacks came amidst stalled efforts to implement the second phase of a peace agreement and ongoing talks to uphold a fragile ceasefire.

In the statement, the ministry said, ‘These ongoing attacks against the Palestinian people are a clear violation not only of the ceasefire agreement signed in January but also of all international norms and humanitarian law.’
