H E Dr Laila bint Ahmed al Najjar, Minister of Social Development, led the Omani delegation at the session. In her speech, she reaffirmed Oman’s commitment to strengthening partnerships among Gulf Cooperation Council countries to empower women across various sectors.

She condemned Israeli actions, citing severe violations of international law, including war crimes, crimes against humanity, torture and genocide. She reaffirmed Oman’s commitment to fostering an environment that supports scientific innovation among Omani women, contributing to regional and international advancements.

Welcoming political and legislative reforms related to women’s empowerment in Arab countries, she praised regional progress in expanding women’s role in social, educational and health sectors, as well as their growing participation in political and economic spheres.

She stressed Oman’s dedication to enhancing women’s leadership roles and participation in decision-making processes.
