Digital Leap! North Batinah partners with Huawei to transform public services

North Batinah governorate has signed a cooperation agreement with Huawei Oman and Mena Invest Investment Company to integrate smart technology into public life, enhancing various service and development sectors.

The agreement aims to employ artificial intelligence and smart solutions to improve public services, support sustainable development, and enhance operational efficiency in government institutions.

Eng. Salem bin Hamad al Kindi, Director General of the Directorate General of Administrative and Financial Affairs, emphasised that the agreement aligns with Oman Vision 2040’s digital transformation goals. He highlighted that integrating smart technologies into development projects would significantly enhance service quality while also investing in training and human capacity building.

The initiative includes implementing innovative projects such as smart health systems, smart agriculture, smart tourism, and sustainable energy management, alongside various educational programmes.

The signing ceremony was attended by His Excellency Mohammed bin Suleiman al Kindi, Governor of North Batinah.
