Muscat – The Central Blood Bank in Bousher has issued an urgent appeal for O-negative blood donors to step forward and donate today, as stocks of this rare blood type have reached critically low levels.

The demand for O-negative blood, which is essential for emergency transfusions and life-saving treatments, has risen sharply, prompting authorities to call on eligible donors to act immediately.

Donation timings:

• Morning (Sunday–Thursday): 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM
• Evening (Daily): 7:30 PM – 11:30 PM
• Platelet donations close at: 10:30 PM

The Central Blood Bank urges members of the public with O-negative blood to donate as soon as possible to help meet the increasing need.
