Muscat – Oman Tourism Development Company (Omran Group) officially opened ‘Layali al Irfan Festival’ at the boulevard of Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (OCEC) on Wednesday.

The festival offers a complete Ramadan experience for families and friends in an atmosphere that reflects the spirit of togetherness. It features cultural experiences, artistic performances, entertainment activities and a market supporting entrepreneurs.

‘The event underscores Omran’s commitment to delivering exceptional tourism experiences that captivate visitors while actively supporting initiatives that enrich local content and empower entrepreneurs and SMEs,’ a press release stated.

Activities of the festival will continue till March 29, offering an immersive and culturally enriching Ramadan experience. Visitors can look forward to an atmosphere infused with warmth, hospitality and a strong sense of community, making it a truly memorable celebration of the holy month.

Designed to revive the authentic atmosphere of Ramadan, Layali al Irfan Festival presents live cultural and artistic performances and an eclectic selection of food outlets blending local flavours with international influences.

It also features a bazaar, family-friendly entertainment, prize draws, dedicated children’s play area, sports zone, an interactive gaming section and live performances.

Commenting on the festival, Sultan Sulaiman al Khudoori, Assets Manager – Experiences at Omran Group, said, “Layali al Irfan is a dynamic and engaging experience that beautifully reflects Omani hospitality, seamlessly blending cultural authenticity with a diverse range of activities for families and friends. Through this initiative, we aim to offer a holistic Ramadan experience that allows visitors to embrace the spirit of the holy month while also creating an exclusive platform for local entrepreneurs. We invite everyone to join us and immerse themselves in the charm of these Ramadan nights, where tradition meets modernity.”

The festival features 55 dedicated outlets for small and medium enterprises and local entrepreneurs, providing these  an opportunity to showcase their products and services. To maximise participation and value creation, vendors will rotate on a weekly basis, ensuring a dynamic marketplace and wider exposure for a larger number of businesses.

Visitors will be able to enjoy an outdoor iftar in the Karam Tent set up in the venue’s Exhibition Garden, surrounded by nature, with prices starting at RO10.

The festival is open to the public free of charge throughout Ramadan from 8pm to 12am.
