Muscat – Muscat Municipality has announced revised timings for its parks and gardens in observance of Ramadan – 4pm to 2am Saturday to Wednesday and 4pm to 1am Thursdays and Friday.

Muscat is home to 137 parks, which collectively span a green area of 2,730,446sqm. The municipality maintains a diverse collection of trees, including 19,565 date palms and 51,831 of other varieties. In addition, there are 336,777 shrubs and fences, along with seasonal flowers that cover 84,205sqm.

Qurm Park nursery plays a significant role in the propagation of various plant species, such as sidr, zam, peltophorum, neem, African tulip, begonia and poinciana. Each year, the nursery produces between 100,000 to 120,000 seedlings, alongside 250,000 to 300,000 shrubs.
