Muscat – Foreign Minister H E Sayyid Badr al Busaidi held a phone discussion with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Monday.

They discussed the historical ties and friendly relations between Oman and the USA, as well as the shared commitment to strengthening cooperation in political, economic and cultural fields. They highlighted the importance of continuing ongoing strategic dialogue between the two countries and of following up on partnership, trade and knowledge exchange programmes.

They exchanged views on regional and international developments, expressing their shared interest and support for efforts to achieve just peace, de-escalation and peaceful solutions through constructive dialogue.

“A good call with @SecRubio. Agreed together to continue developing our strategic and longstanding  relationship, which will continue to  remain unaffected by regional tension,” H E Sayyid Badr posted on X following the call.
