Muscat – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has extended greetings to Omani citizens, residents of Oman and to the Islamic nation on the occasion of the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, Hijri Year 1446.

The Diwan of Royal Court issued a statement on Friday to this effect reading as follows: ‘Upon the advent of the holy month of Ramadan and as Muslims in the East and West of the globe look forward to the holy month’s blissful manifestations of spiritual security and profound faith, engaging day and night in the recitation of the Holy Quran that was revealed as a book of guidance for all mankind, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has expressed his sincere greetings to Omani citizens, residents of the benign land of the Sultanate of Oman and to the Islamic nation on this blessed occasion.

‘As he extends his greetings on this occasion, His Majesty the Sultan prays to the Almighty Allah to grant all success in fasting and worship throughout the holy month. His Majesty the Sultan also prayed to the Almighty to endow all His acceptance of their deeds.

‘May Allah the Almighty protect His Majesty the Sultan and bestow upon him His generous blessings and prolong his life.’
