Muscat – Dr Yousra Juma al Sinani, Associate Professor in Department of Curriculum and Instruction (Physical Education) at Sultan Qaboos University, has been appointed a member of International Council on Education for Teaching (ICET).

Yousra described the appointment as a proud achievement, stating that it marks a significant step in advancing education in Oman while consolidating its global presence. “This appointment provides an opportunity to promote inclusivity and equality in education policies, aligning with Oman’s vision for educational reform and societal progress,” she said.

She added that the role would help raise the university’s profile in international academic forums and highlight Oman’s contributions to global education.

A US-based international non-governmental organisation, ICET holds consultative status with the UN Economic and Social Council. It focuses on improving teacher training and educational practices worldwide, particularly enhancing quality of education.
