Egypt to host emergency Arab Summit in Cairo

9 Feb 2025

Cairo, Egypt – The Arab Republic of Egypt has announced that it will host an emergency Arab summit on February 27, 2025, to discuss the ‘dangerous’ developments surrounding the Palestinian issue. The summit follows coordination with the Kingdom of Bahrain, the current president of the Arab Summit, and the General Secretariat of the Arab League.

A statement issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the summit had been called after high-level consultations with several Arab nations, including the State of Palestine, which requested the urgent meeting. The summit aims to address the new and escalating challenges faced by the Palestinian people and explore ways to enhance Arab support for their cause.

The meeting will focus on the latest developments in the region, aiming to present a unified Arab stance and strengthen diplomatic efforts at both the regional and international levels. The summit is expected to be a critical platform for Arab leaders to discuss potential actions in response to the crisis.
