Muscat – Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning hosted a luxury sports car gathering at Royal Opera House Muscat last week in collaboration with Oman Automobile Association and Super Cars Majlis.

The event, which showcased over 55 high-end sports cars, brought together car enthusiasts and luxury lifestyle admirers from the UAE and Saudi Arabia, besides Oman.

The gathering served as a platform to promote Sultan Haitham City, a visionary urban development project.

Highlighting the event’s dual focus on innovation and technology, Saif al Jahouri, Vice-President of Sports Car Majlis, said, “This unique event – celebrated under the slogan ‘Join a world that is renewed every moment’ – showcased the latest advancements in sports cars while introducing Sultan Haitham City as a hub of luxury, innovation and sustainability.”

The event allowed attendees to explore cutting-edge automotive technology and engage with industry experts, while underscoring Sultan Haitham City’s vision of integrating luxury living with a sustainable and modern urban lifestyle.

Jamal bin Nasser al Hadi, Media Advisor to Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, described Sultan Haitham City as a pioneering urban model. “It is more than a residential development. The city harmonises modernity with the authentic Omani character, making it a dynamic and attractive destination for all, particularly the youth,” he said.

He added that the city’s design reflects the energy and creativity of young people, who are integral to its development. “Events linked to Sultan Haitham City are part of a broader strategy to empower the younger generation and involve them in the city’s sustainable development journey.”

Sultan Haitham City is envisioned as an integrated urban space where technology, sustainability and social interaction coexist. With its vibrant environment and forward-looking infrastructure, the city aims to inspire future generations while fostering sustainable growth.
