T10 Bash 2025 – A symphony of comraderies and friendship on the pitch

Muscat – Hikvision Oman and GPT Group organised a T10 Cricket Bash at the Oman Cricket Academy Stadium, in Amerat as a team engagement activity for employees along with top System Integrators of Oman. All were invited along with their families.

The tournament began on January 2, with an elegant trophy unveiling ceremony. The prestigious event was graced by Pradeep Kumar Tripathy, the Chairman of GPT Group and his wife, Rashmi Tripathy along with representatives of Hikvision Oman and GPT Group. The unveiling ceremony marked the beginning of what would be a remarkable cricketing and sportsmanship spectacle.

The tournament, which was ceremoniously launched by Oliver Wang, Director, Hikvision Oman, officially began on January 3. The players were warmly welcomed by Adam al Balushi, Group GM, GPT and Nilabh Singh, GM (Sales & Marketing) GPT Group. The inaugural ceremony was attended by Shibu J Thomas, Head of Finance, GPT, Prateek Parashar and other representatives of Hikvision, GPT and participant companies.

At the inauguration, Oliver Wang stated, “The idea behind this event was that we bring all people on the same platform, in a way that they can enjoy together along with family and we at Hikvision and all our partners here are one big extended family.”
Cricket was a unique game for Wang and his family, who were seen enjoying the matches with cheers and support. Wang added, “As an extended family, all of us along with their families, together in this chilling weather and a heart-warming game of cricket, makes us bond together both personally and professionally.”

There were 12 teams battling it out to win the coveted cup. The teams represented big corporate names like Khimji Ramdas, MHD, Mustafa Sultan, Bahwan, OHI, Bishara, Al Khalili, Anzyma, AIS, BIG Group, Al Jassr Group & Hikvision-GPT.
Each team had an average of 15 players each. Round 1 of the matches started with a bang!

AIS had a faceoff with OHI. Similarly, Bishara faced Al Jassar. Mustafa Sultan played against MHD. Bahwan IT faced Anzyma while Al Khalili faced Khimji Ramdas. Finally, on Day 2, BIG played against hosts Hikvision-GPT Group.

The playoffs were judged with eight overs in the game. It was in the middle of the playoffs that Nilabh Singh, a poet in his own right, stated that. “I think it is an honour for us to join our partners in such an event in today’s weather. It is a very good environment and this competition, the present teams of Hikvision and GPT Group, we are thankful to each and every one of them. I would like to thank all the members and their partners for such a memorable day in Muscat. We appreciate the partner’s efforts in the last year and I am sure that we can have a great future together in 2025 and in the following years to come.”

After two days of intense competition between the 12 teams, the grand finale took place on January 4. The day was filled with nail-biting action and unforgettable moments. In an exhilarating finish, Khimji Ramdas emerged as the champions of the tournament, securing the coveted Winners’ Trophy, with MSE ending as runners up.

Team captain of Khimji Ramdas Group Venkatesh Prabhu said, “We wanted to be cornerstone in this tournament. We did it with great team effort but there was one exceptional performer in Tushar Hatankar. He was incredible with both ball and bat.”
Hatankar won the man of the match and series with an impressive scorecard.

The awards were presented by a special Guest of Honour Jatinder Singh, Captain of Oman Men’s Cricket Team.
Players were in a frenzy upon his arrival. He was welcomed by Oliver Wang and Nilabh Singh along with Mohammed Nadeem, BDM-Hikvision Oman.

The turnout for the tournament made it an ensemble of more than 300 guests at the coveted Oman Cricket Academy Stadium. With promise of more such events, one can be sure of fun times ahead.
