Muscat – Ministry of Social Development (MoSD) has partnered with Green Universe Enterprise to launch an initiative called ‘Your Light is Ours’ aimed at providing solar energy solutions to vulnerable segments of society. The project focuses on orphans, the elderly, foster families and youth hostels under the Child Care Centre.

A memorandum of cooperation, signed by Maani bint Abdullah al Busaidi, Director General of Family Development at MoSD, and Sumaya bint Nasser al Rawahi, CEO of Green Universe Enterprise, aims to enhance environmental sustainability while reducing energy costs for these communities.

The project will also gather data on the target groups to implement alternative and renewable energy solutions.

The project aligns with the broader goals of promoting social and environmental sustainability. It will not only contribute to reducing monthly expenses for these families and institutions but also encourage the use of clean energy.

By leveraging solar energy, the project aims to make a tangible difference in the lives of those in need, ensuring a brighter and more sustainable future.
