Oman condemns New Orleans tragedy

Muscat – The Sultanate of Oman has strongly condemned the tragic hit-and-run incident in New Orleans, United States, which resulted in numerous fatalities and injuries. In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Oman expressed its profound sorrow and extended heartfelt condolences to the government of the United States, as well as to the families of the victims. The Ministry also conveyed its sincere wishes for a swift recovery to those injured in the attack.

The Embassy of Oman in Washington echoed this sentiment, describing the incident as a devastating act that has left a significant impact. The Embassy reaffirmed Oman’s solidarity with the United States during this challenging time, extending its sympathies to all those affected by the tragedy.

In its statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs underlined the Sultanate of Oman’s unwavering and principled stance against all forms of violence and terrorism, irrespective of their motives or causes. The Ministry emphasised Oman’s commitment to supporting global peace and security, calling for unity in the international community to combat such acts of violence.
