Tehran, Iran – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, has conveyed a written message to President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian of the Islamic Republic of Iran, focusing on enhancing bilateral relations and exploring opportunities for cooperation across various fields.
The message was delivered by Oman’s Foreign Minister, H E Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, during a meeting with President Pezeshkian in Tehran. H E Sayyid Badr conveyed His Majesty’s warm greetings and best wishes for the Iranian President and the people of Iran. President Pezeshkian extended his greetings to His Majesty the Sultan and expressed his hopes for further progress and prosperity for the Sultanate of Oman.
In addition to delivering the message, H E Sayyid Badr held discussions with senior Iranian officials. He met Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, where they reviewed parliamentary cooperation between Oman’s Shura Council and Iran’s Majlis, and exchanged views on regional and international matters of mutual interest.
H E Sayyid Badr also met Ali Akbar Ahmadian, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), to discuss bilateral cooperation and regional developments. Both sides reaffirmed the importance of dialogue as a means to strengthen security and stability in the region.
The meetings were attended by Sheikh Ahmed Hashel Al Maskari, Head of the GCC Department at Oman’s Foreign Ministry, Ibrahim Ahmed Al Maani, Oman’s Ambassador to Iran, and other senior officials from both nations.
These high-level engagements underscore Oman’s commitment to fostering robust ties with Iran and its continued efforts to promote peace and cooperation in the region.
