Kuwait City, Kuwait – Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a historic first visit by a sitting PM of India to Kuwait in past 43 years, was awarded the ‘Mubarak al Kabeer Medal’ by His Highness Sheikh Mishal al Ahmad al Jabir al Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait.

This prestigious honour recognises PM Modi’s pivotal role in enhancing bilateral relations between India and Kuwait. During the visit, Modi highlighted the strategic partnership between the two nations, stressing cooperation in energy, trade, and cultural exchange. He met with key Kuwaiti leaders, including Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah al Ahmad al Sabah, reinforcing the importance of further strengthening ties.
