Muscat – Temperatures across Oman are expected to continue to drop in the coming days with Saiq recording the lowest temperature on Friday at 3.5°C, according to Civil Aviation Authority.
It stated that weather maps and numerical forecasts point to a ‘noticeable drop in temperatures across all governorates’ and warned that ‘the drop will continue for several days with opportunities for frost formation on mountain peaks’.
After Saiq, Yanqul recorded the second-lowest temperature at 12.2°C, followed by Haima and Mazyunah at 12.3°C, and Bidiyah at 13.1°C.
In contrast, the highest temperature on Friday was recorded in Salalah at 30.2°C, followed by Mirbat at 29.5°C and Shalim at 29.1°C.
According to Oman Meteorology’s forecast for Sunday, skies will remain clear over most governorates, with high and medium clouds drifting in. Isolated rain is expected over Musandam and parts of the Oman Sea coast.
