New York, US – The Sultanate of Oman reaffirmed its commitment to supporting global humanitarian efforts at the high-level meeting of the United Nations Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) for 2025 in New York. His Excellency Ambassador Omar bin Saeed al Kathiri, Oman’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, delivered a speech on Oman’s efforts to enhance rapid responses to global crises and disasters.

The speech highlighted the importance of international solidarity in addressing the growing humanitarian challenges and praised the vital role of CERF in providing support to vulnerable groups amid multiple global crises. The meeting also announced Oman’s financial contribution to support CERF’s efforts in delivering life-saving humanitarian aid.

Through its participation, Oman reiterated its commitment to international humanitarian principles and pledged continued cooperation with the United Nations and international partners to promote human security, stability, and sustainable development worldwide.
