Muscat – Oman’s Ahmed al Amri claimed the top spot in the Red Bull Car Park Drift 2024 World Finals held at Muscat Drift Circuit on Friday. Organised by Oman Automobile Association, the event drew top drifters from around the world.

The competition’s closing ceremony was held under the patronage of H H Sayyid Fahr bin Fatik al Said.

Haitham al Hadidi, also representing Oman, claimed second place, while Egypt’s Hisham al Khatib and Lebanon’s Mohammed Shihab finished third and fourth, respectively.

Soon after winning, Amri than-ked his supporters. “I am grateful to my fans and my family, who stood by me from the very beginning,” he said in a social media post. “I cannot describe my feelings after achieving this global accomplishment for my beloved country and fans. I promised you to achieve it on our land, and thank God we achieved it.”

The Red Bull Car Park Drift competition, known for its precision driving and adrenaline-filled atmosphere, has become one of the most highly anticipated motorsport events in the Middle East. Amri’s win adds to Oman’s growing reputation as a regional hub for motorsport excellence.
