Muscat – Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has granted approval to Turkish-German airline SunExpress to operate two flights per week between Muscat and Trabzon.

In a statement issued by CAA on Wednesday, it said, ‘The authority has greenlit SunExpress to launch two weekly flights between Muscat and Trabzon, effective October 30, 2024.’

Founded as a joint venture between Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines in 1989, the airline offers numerous direct connections between Europe and Türkiye.

Besides flying to many idyllic holiday destinations in Türkiye, the airline also has direct flights from Europe to many Anatolian cities. SunExpress offers direct flights from Türkiye to 68 destinations and 200 routes across 35 countries.

The airline is headquartered in Antalya, with its second head office in Frankfurt, Germany.
