Manah – The Ministry of Education (MoE) has launched the qualifying round for the student scientific innovation competitions, including robotics and drones, in Dakhliyah governorate.

The event began on Monday and will take place over three days at the Manah Recreational Center.

Targeting grades 5 to 12, the competition aims to encourage innovation and creativity among student s while providing a platform for them to showcase their ideas and science projects. The qualifiers will help determine which teams will advance to compete at the national level.

Ali bin Khalifa al Hinai, head of the Innovation and Scientific Olympiad Department in Dakhliyah, reported that around 820 students are participating in the event, which reflects strong support from the local community, parents, and teachers.

“This commitment underscores the collective efforts for better education and promotion of a culture of innovation.”

The qualifiers will identify winning teams for representing Dakhliyah governorate in the final competition against other governorates, with a focus on discovering and nurturing talented students across Oman.
