Muscat – Ministry of Health (MoH) has signed an agreement with Renardet SA & Partners to design the National Centre for Women and Children’s Health in Sultan Haitham City.
The project costing over RO1.3mn is part of the first phase of the city’s development aimed at enhancing healthcare services.
The agreement was signed by H E Suleiman bin Nasser al Hajji, Undersecretary for Administrative and Financial Affairs in MoH, and Lorenzo Nicolai, Managing Director of Renardet Oman. The signing was attended by H E Dr Hilal bin Ali al Sabti, Minister of Health, and H E Dr Khalfan bin Saeed al Shuaili, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning.
The centre will aim to improve the quality of healthcare services for women and children, highlighting the city’s commitment to comprehensive healthcare. The agreement encompasses consulting services, studies, surveys, project component identification, and the design of master plans for the National Centre for Women and Children’s Health.
The project is part of a larger investment exceeding RO90mn which includes building a reference hospital with 800 beds, among other healthcare facilities, all spread over 1mn sqm. More than 63,000sqm will be designated to health centres within the first phase of the city’s development.
