Muscat – Ministry of Health has announced that it is gearing up to launch a heart transplantation programme. In the buildup to the programme, what should be done to encourage more people to donate organs? Here is what Muscat Daily readers said –

We need to debunk  myths and foster a culture of giving. Religious leaders can also play a crucial role in educating communities about the importance of donating organs as an act of charity and compassion. Social organisations of expatriate communities must also be engaged.

This is one of the best acts of kindness and humanity. It must be encouraged and appreciated. I feel that there must be separate kiosks to encourage people who visit hospitals. Such kiosks must be put up at public events like Muscat Nights and football matches. Also the language must be easy and include languages other than Arabic and English.
