Muscat – Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (MoCIIP), through its Sanad Service Centres Department, issued a stern warning on Tuesday to unlicensed establishments found to be illegally using the identity and trademark elements of Sanad Service Centres in their commercial operations.
The unauthorised use has reportedly led to confusion among consumers and constitutes a breach of the Trademark Law currently enforced in the sultanate. According to the law, the owner of a registered trademark is entitled to prevent others from using it without obtaining necessary permission.
MoCIIP called on all establishments engaging in this practice to immediately correct their status to avoid facing legal consequences. The ministry stressed that non-compliance starting from the date of this announcement will result in legal action being taken against offending businesses.
