Muscat – The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has announced that tropical storm Asna, currently located in the Arabian Sea, is expected to gradually weaken as it continues its westward trajectory toward the Sea of Oman.

A statement issued by the CAA noted, “Over the next 48 hours, the storm is projected to shift southward and south-westward, with gradual dissipation anticipated away from the South Sharqiyah coast.”

Cloud advection, including medium and high clouds, is expected to affect the governorates of South Sharqiyah, Muscat, and North Sharqiyah.

The CAA urges residents in these areas to stay informed and be prepared for potential weather changes. They should also monitor local advisories and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety, the statement added.
