Muscat – The General Administration of Customs, through its Compliance and Risk Assessment Department, conducted a raid on a site in the wilayat of Barka and arrested an Asian expat for possessing and storing prohibited cigarettes.
The raid, part of a broader initiative to crack down on illegal activities and ensure compliance with national laws, resulted in the confiscation of 4,000 packs of tobacco products, which pose significant health risks and are often associated with unregulated and unsafe manufacturing practices.
The authorities are currently taking legal measures against the individual involved.
