Muscat – Oman Riders embarked on a much-anticipated ride to Salalah on Sunday.
The six-day ride, named ‘Salalah al Asalah’, will cover approximately 1,300km and see participation of 89 members of the group hailing from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco and Algeria, besides Oman.
About the event, Hussain Ben Ali Ben Khalfan al Muqaimi, member of Oman Riders, said, “The weather and green landscapes make this trip special every year. The khareef season is very popular among all. ‘Salalah al Asalah’ aims to promote tourism in Oman while providing a unique experience for all riders.”
He added, “We have set a goal to showcase the beauty of Oman through trips like these, contributing to the country’s tourism.”
Oman Riders has new bikers every year from across the Middle East, some of whom have been participating in these rides for over ten years.
This is the 14th ride to Salalah since the club’s formation, with the last one taking place in August 2023. The group continues to attract bikers from around the region, making this annual ride a highlight for its members.
