Muscat – Sultan Qaboos Institute for Teaching Arabic to Non-native Speakers in Manah, Dakhliyah celebrated the conclusion of its 52nd session on Wednesday. The two-month course provided students with an intensive Arabic language programme, complemented by a rich cultural experience.
The course hosted 52 students from diverse backgrounds, including participants from Sultan Qaboos Centre for Culture in Washington, the Omani-British Friendship Society, Hungary, Comoros, South Korea, Japan and France. This was the fifth summer course of the 2023/2024 academic year.
In a speech, Othman bin Musa al Saadi, Assistant Director of Educational Programmes at the institute, informed that the curriculum was designed to meet the educational and cultural needs of students. “The study plan included lessons in classical Arabic as well as insights into Omani culture,” he said.
Two students from the United Kingdom, Patrick and Alex, spoke on behalf of their peers, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to study Arabic and immerse themselves in Omani culture.
