Oman, Tanzania ink new air services agreement

Dar es Salaam – Oman, represented by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), and Tanzania signed a bilateral air services agreement on Tuesday in Dar esl Salaam.

The agreement was signed by Eng Nayef bin Ali al Abri, Chairman, CAA, and Prof Makame Mbarawa, Minister of Transport in Tanzania. Other prominent dignitaries and officials of both the countries were also present at the ceremony.

Updating on the original agreement between both the countries from 1982, of open-air space, the new pact provides for any number of direct flights between them.

The latest agreement consists of 24 articles and a special annex on the schedule of air routes. Additionally, economic provisions that enable designated airline operations for passengers and freights including cooperative codesharing was also agreed on.
