Bathina – The Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) in South Batinah governorate has conducted a successful campaign resulting in the seizure of prohibited and unlicensed goods from a commercial establishment selling luxury items in the wilayat of Mussanah.

The campaign, part of CPA’s ongoing efforts to combat abuses by vendors and suppliers, targeted commercial establishments across the governorate.

During the inspections, law enforcement officers seized a total of 1,531 commodities. This included 390 prohibited items such as Royal Honey and Faiza Cream, known for their regulatory non-compliance and potential hazards to consumer health. Additionally, 1,141 items were confiscated for failing to meet specifications and standards, posing similar risks.

The CPA reaffirmed its commitment to intensifying market surveillance to safeguard consumers from harmful products and to ensure market compliance with consumer protection regulations. It emphasised its readiness to prosecute violators and urged consumers to report any market violations through CPA’s communication channels.
