Muscat – The Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (ASMED), in collaboration with Muscat Municipality, has launched an initiative to support street vendors. 

The initiative provides 15 outlets – food vendors, cafes and restaurants – along Al Maha Street in Bausher. 

It aims to boost commercial activity, enhance service offerings for consumers, and provide support to street vendors and jobseekers, ASMED stated.

To qualify, applicants must meet certain criteria – they must reside in the wilayat of Bausher, be at least 18 years old, and be an Omani national dedicated to his/her business activity.

Additional criteria include possessing a valid  business licence and not holding a licence for any other commercial, professional or craft activity. 

The authority encourages eligible street vendors to register via bit.ly/BBQ_Vendors

The registration deadline is July 17.
