Muscat – Royal Academy of Management has rolled out the third iteration of its National Leadership Development Programme – called Etimad – aimed at bolstering middle and senior management in the private sector.

This year’s programme commenced with the enrolment of 202 employees from private sector enterprises and entrepreneurs, divided into two cohorts.

Dr Yasmin al Balushi, Director of Leadership Development Centre at the academy, underscored the programme’s vital role in sculpting Omani leaders. “Etimad has been instrumental in nurturing national leaders equipped with advanced skills, ready to drive institutional growth and adapt to the dynamic economic landscape.”

The programme aligns with Oman Vision 2040’s strategic goals to cultivate a robust leadership cadre that can spearhead private sector innovations and sustain economic growth. This ambitious programme stands out for its comprehensive training modules which include both on-site and remote learning sessions, leadership camps, and developmental assessments to monitor graduates’ progression and effectiveness in their respective organisations.

Additionally, the programme boasts a strong international collaboration with institutions such as Columbia Business School, Tuck Executive Education at Dartmouth, and the Management Executive Education of Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Participants were selected through a rigorous process from over 3,400 applicants, ensuring that only the most promising professionals with proven leadership potentials are groomed for future challenges.
