Muscat – In preparation of Eid al Adha, Sulayem bin Ali al Hakmani, Chairman of Consumer Protection Authority (CPA), visited North Batinah on Monday. The visit was part of a campaign aimed at ensuring the availability of essential commodities during the festive season.

Hakmani’s visit included discussions with local officials and inspecting key logistics hubs and markets to verify compliance with consumer protection laws and adequate supply of goods. His visit focused on enhancing CPA’s effectiveness through better market monitoring and inter-departmental cooperation.

At a meeting with Mohammed bin Sulaiman al Kindi, Governor of North Batinah, discussions centred on consolidating efforts for consumer protection, including adapting market surveillance based on prevailing conditions and enhancing the overall service delivery of CPA. The discussions underscored the importance of a collaborative approach to safeguarding consumer interests.

Hakmani also visited Liwa Logistic City accompanied by H E Dr Ahmed bin Nasser al Bakri, Undersecretary of Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, where they assessed the operational efficacy of the one-window station that plays a crucial role in maintaining quality and safety standards.
