Muscat – The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs (MERA) has called on people to look for the crescent moon marking the beginning of the month of Dhul Hijjah this evening.

The main committee for sighting the crescent moon of Dhul Hijjah for the year 1445 AH will meet on Thursday evening at the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs. The meeting will be chaired by HE Dr Mohammed bin Said al Maamari, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs.

The ministry has called on citizens and residents to report sightings of the moon to the ministry or to sub-committees in the offices of the governors.
