4 Jun 2024 MoH cracks down on unlicensed botox and filler providers

Muscat – The Ministry of Health (MoH), the Consumer Protection Authority (CPA), and the Royal Oman Police (ROP) conducted raids at multiple sites, arresting several unlicensed foreign workers performing botox and filler injections.

The team seized large quantities of syringes and medical materials stored unsafely and without proper licensing from the Ministry of Health.

In a separate operation, the Quality Control and Patient Safety Department, along with judicial officers from CPA, apprehended unlicensed female workers in Qurum conducting similar illegal activities.

The ministry warns that receiving health services from unlicensed providers can lead to serious health risks, including infectious diseases and complications from adulterated materials.
