Muscat – The sultanate, represented by Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), alongside various other public and private institutions, is set to participate in the 27th Arab-German Business Forum in Berlin as guest of honour starting Monday.

The three-day forum will focus on enhancing cooperation between the private sectors of Arab countries and Germany in key investment areas, including energy, technology, innovation, trade, tourism, culture, education and training.

Hamoud bin Salem al Saadi, Second Deputy-Chairman of Board of Directors of OCCI, stated that Arab-German relations are based on shared visions.

The forum aims to strengthen trade relations by creating opportunities for direct communication, leading to new trade partnerships between Omani and German companies and other participating Arab nations.

Additionally, it will facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experiences, enhancing understanding of economic and commercial legislation of participating countries.

Saadi highlighted the fact that Oman’s participation as guest of honour offers a unique opportunity for various parties to present working papers on topics such as the future of smart cities, logistics projects with forward-looking perspectives, advanced artificial intelligence dynamics, and sustainable tourism growth.
