An official from the Buraimi Governor’s Office said that bids are being solicited for establishment of an entertainment area – named Mahdah Oasis – in the wilayat of Mahdah and for the development of the entrance to the same wilayat.

“These initiatives are part of the broader efforts to boost domestic tourism and provide recreational spaces for citizens,” said the official.

Similarly, in the wilayat of Buraimi, interested firms are invited to submit bids for the development of Al Saara Park, the establishment of a children’s playground in the Al Khadra area, the enhancement of Al Buraimi Walk, improvements to the area surrounding the Sultan Qaboos Mosque roundabout, and the development of the Buraimi Central Market.

“In the wilayat of Sunaina, tenders have been invited for the enhancement of Falaj al Sunaina and Falaj al Rihani, as well as the construction of a children’s playground in the Al Awaida area,” the official further informed.

“These projects underscore the commitment of the local authorities to the advancement of infrastructure across the governorate,” he added.

The tender documents can be collected from June 6, while the last date for submission of bids is July 2.

The projects have been chosen as per the Governorate Development Plan, under which each governorate has been allocated RO20mn during the 2021-25 Five-Year Plan period serving as incentive for competitiveness and economic growth.
