Muscat – On behalf of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, Sayyid Asaad bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Special Representative of His Majesty the Sultan, received the ‘Leader’s Order’ conferred on His Majesty the Sultan by the Arab Parliament.

The medal is the highest honour conferred on Arab leaders by the parliament.

The medal was conferred on His Majesty the Sultan in appreciation and gratitude for his outstanding efforts to serve issues of concern to the Arab nation and his continuous endeavours in support of the joint Arab action.

The conferment of the Arab medal took place when Sayyid Asaad received Adel Abdulrahman al Asoomi, Speaker of Arab Parliament, and his accompanying delegation in Muscat on Monday.

The conferment ceremony was attended by Khalid bin Hilal al Maawali, Chairman of Majlis A’Shura, the Secretary-General and Adviser at Sayyid Asaad’s Office and members of Arab Parliament.
