Muscat – Dakhliyah governorate has allocated tenders worth RO5mn to initiate various development projects, among which is the establishment of the Nizwa Public Park.
According to a statement released by the Dakhliyah Governor’s Office, the fifth meeting of the Internal Tenders Committee for the year 2024 was convened on Sunday under the committee’s chairman Hilal bin Saeed al Hajri, the Governor of Dakhliyah.
The committee, along with its members, decided to award tenders for development projects in the municipal sector, exceeding a total value of RO5mn. The initiative is part of the ongoing efforts by the Dakhliyah governorate to enhance and expand municipal services across all regions.

The scope of these projects involves diverse plans, including the establishment of the Nizwa Public Park, the design and implementation of internal roads in select areas of the governorate, and the procurement of design consultancy services.
Additionally, the projects involve the installation of lighting poles along roads, with special attention given to illuminating the Adam-Sinaw Road.
The design of the Nizwa Public Park is tailored to cater to all age groups and draws inspiration from nature, integrating various amenities such as children’s playgrounds, sports facilities, picnic and fitness areas, as well as spaces for potential investment projects.
Notably, the design features a fountain, ample seating arrangements, functional gardens for activities, a marketplace for local producers, and a simulated forest environment with tree houses, providing a serene and enjoyable atmosphere for recreational activities.
Moreover, an educational medicinal garden has been incorporated into the park, showcasing medicinal plants to promote learning and meditation, thus catering to the diverse cultural needs of the community. The design also includes a relaxation courtyard, a library, and other complementary components to enrich the park experience.
