Muscat – The Royal Oman Police (ROP) apprehended two individuals of Asian nationality for engaging in human trafficking against women of the same nationality.

In a statement issued by ROP said, ‘The General Department of Criminal Investigation and Research arrested two individuals of Asian nationality for engaging in the crime of human trafficking against women of the same nationality. They lured and misled the victims by falsely promising job opportunities in the Sultanate of Oman.’

Legal procedures are being completed against them, it added.
