Muscat – Several expatriates were arrested for violating Labour Law in North Batinah, the Ministry of Labour (MoL) announced on Wednesday.

In a statement issued by MoL said, ‘The Ministry of Labour, represented by the Joint Labour Inspection Team in North Batinah governorate, carried out an inspection campaign targeting unlicenced work sites reported by citizens in the wilayats of Khaboura and Suwaiq. A number of workers were arrested in violation of the provisions of the Labour Law.’

Legal measures are being taken against them, it added.
