Muscat – SalamAir, Oman’s first low-cost airline, has announced the revival of two of its most sought-after summer destinations – Baku in Azerbaijan and Almaty in Kazakhstan – in response to overwhelming travel demand.

Weekly flights from Muscat to Baku is starting from June 16, while flights to Almaty will begin from June 18, 2024.

The decision to resume services to Baku and Almaty is a testament to the enduring popularity of these destinations, with seat factors averaging 85% and 87%, respectively, last year.

“We are thrilled to announce the reopening of Baku and Almaty due to popular demand,” said Captain Ahmed al Shidhani, Acting CEO of SalamAir.

He added, “The overwhelming response from our customers last year has encouraged us to bring back these fantastic summer destinations. We are confident that travelers will continue to be captivated by the unique experiences Baku and Almaty offer.”
