In a statement issued by the CPA said, ‘The authorities received information that a group of expatriate workers was involved in trading and selling chewed tobacco that do not meet the specifications. Evidence was collected and the law enforcement officers 1660 boxes and bags of chewing tobacco. This practice is a violation of decision No 256/2015, as amended by decision No 206/2023, regarding the banning of chewing tobacco.”

The CPA has taken legal action against violators, who were ordered to pay fines, and legal measures were taken to dispose of the seized items.
